Pre-Nursery

12 months – 23 months

The Toddler Community is designed to be a gentle transition from home to school. Through close cooperation with parents and teachers, children are gradually able to separate from their parents without anxiety.

In a respectful and gentle way, OakSprings Hill teachers support the child’s natural development and with focus on independence. Pre-Nursery is an important stage at which toddlers begin building the foundation for who they will become. They are beginning to form their character, self-esteem, social skills, and learning processes. We aid their development through various means such as by placing activities around the room for the toddlers to choose independently. These activities help the toddlers begin to experience and understand the concept of sequence, form, shape, movement, and sound. The activities change and evolve as the child grows physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
